MEET THE TEAM

The Bouchie Lake Country Store was opened on February 26, 2015 by the 2 "Darlings" - Sarah Barber and Heloise Dixon-Warren.  Sarah and Heloise had a vision of creating a destination store that would have a rural community focus with a real country feel.

Both busy people with individual home based businesses (Sarah owns Sarah Barber Home Based Esthetician  & Heloise operates Moose Meadows Farm with her husband, Ted), the "Darlings" came up with the idea while out on their horses enjoying a hack along the roads.  That was in early Spring of 2014.  By the time November of 2014 rolled about, both Sarah and Heloise knew the vision was going to be a reality and "The Bouchie Lake Country Store" began.

Ted

The store is now solely owned and operated by Heloise and Ted as Sarah decided to focus on her home based business and left the BLCS in October, 2016.

The vision of the store, created by Heloise and Sarah, continues on in terms of the store being friendly, providing a service, having a strong community philosophy, and fun.
Lauren and her boys

Lauren Dillabough is our longest term employee having started at the BLCS in May, 2015.  Lauren lives in the Milburn Lake area and is the mother to two young boys, Alex and Nathan.  She is truly our "right hand gal" and is a large part of the BLCS.  Lauren looks after the Pet Department and West Coast Seed Orders among other things.
Amity

Amity, Heloise and Ted's youngest daughter, is our other left hand gal working 1-2 days / week.  Having grown up a wide assortment of 4- and 2-legged friends, Amity is very knowledgeable in many of their needs.  Amity looks after the Equine Department.

Michel and Monika
Recently, Michel Robert joined the team. Michel also lives in the Milburn Lake area with his wife, Monika, who is a longtime employee at Rocky's General Store.  Having Michel at the BLCS 1-2 times a week is having a visual impact.  He is the person who looks after the Warehouse and is our handy fellow if some tasks are required that need a hammer or a drill.
