Our Christmas Hours

With the Winter Season well underway and the beginning of festivities and celebration, we would like to wish you and your family and friend a joyous time during this Christmas Season.

However you celebrate this time of year, take the time to relax, reconnect, and share with others who are important to you.  Do not worry if you don't get everything done by December 25th - Christmas Day... as you have TWELVE Days to do it all.  :)  Take all 12 days and spread out the fun.

From all of us at the Bouchie Lake Country Store, Happy Winter Time and a very, very Merry Christmas.

FRIENDLY MONSTERS Book Signing with Soup & Sourdough

DECEMBER 9, 2017, 11 am -  3 pm

Join us and local mother and daughter team, Karen Morgan and Tyleen Barker, for a Book Signing & celebration of the recent launch of their book "Friendly Monsters"

While on-site enjoy a Soup with some Sourdough (fresh and locally made) and some of Michel Robert's famous French Canadian Touritere from Walkabout Homestead.  Moose Meadows Farm will also have a great selection of their evergreen products and Christmas wreaths for you take home and enjoy.

For additional info., check out our event page of Facebook.
The book is described as "Whimsical, magical short stories written with love. Each will take you on an imaginative adventure!"

When I go to bed at night,
sometimes I am a bit afraid.
I think about monsters,
lurking in the shade.
But when I close my eyes and see,
just how sweet they are.
For they are only in my mind,
and are neither near nor far.

Victorian Tinsel, Tin Stars and beautiful "Punched Lamps" are once again IN STOCK in time for the upcoming Christmas Season.

All of these Tin Works are designed and created IN CANADA by Pietersma Tinworks in Chesterville, Ontario.

VICTORIAN TINSEL

This timeless decoration adds a finishing touch to any tree.  The multiple twists on each piece will add sparkle to your tree.
Packed in sturdy tin containers for storage, each tube contains 50- five and half inch silvery pieces.  Pieces are 5.5 inches long. Width at middle of taper is .105 inches
Made from tinplated Steel. Will hold shine for many years.

TIN CHRISTMAS TREE STARS

Star ornaments for your tree, wreath or just to add sparkle to your décor.  20 tin stars with decoration hangers and storage tin. Stars are approx. 2.5 inches across. Made from tinplated steel. Easy to care for. No polishing required. Tin is an extremely slow to tarnish.

PUNCHED LAMPS

Looking for a way to light a dark corner?   These  "Punched Lamps" make for a beautiful centrepiece or as a accent in your home.

No material is removed in the process of punching the lamps; hence, they really sparkle. The slightly rough edges of the holes refract the light. This combined with the direction of the piercings create their characteristic crystal-like sparkle.

But there is more to these lamps! Our shades are designed to easily lift off the electrical base, allowing them to be used with candles. Now you can make it into a unique centrepiece.

All of the "Punched Lamps" come with an electric light.
